Lakeland Centre for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder is a Canadian non-profit organization helping women and children affected by drug use during pregnancy. They wanted their website design to have a kind, warm feel that would reflect the nature of the services that they provide.
Their existing logo was a starting point that determined the main color scheme of the site, which we believe was appropriate and gave the design a warm look and helped made it appeal to women. We also introduced complimentary colors in soothing pastel tones, as well as feminine, nature inspired graphic elements. The photography, although we combined stock photography with images provided by the clients, looks authentic and focuses on the human aspect, showing happy families, children and caregivers.
